The “load more” fail
I am seeing more and more sites (usually the social networking type) using this “Load more” functionality to inject the next set of data into the page instead of using traditional pagination. While some applications use this in a beneficial way (Google Reader, iPhone apps, etc), it is not a replacement for pagination in most cases.
Use the “Older Posts” function in Facebook a few times, click a friend’s link or view their photo and then hit the back button. Now you need to click “Older Posts” again and again until you’re back to where you were.
Please go back to pagination people. It’s tried and true.
